As a result she will get you back to your sport quickly and efficiently.

A sportsperson is “forever ONE STEP AWAY from injury, ONE STEP AWAY from overtraining; and... ONE STEP AWAY from PAIN”.

At Jane's clinic you will be only ONE STEP AWAY from getting back to YOUR SPORT!

What are Sports Injuries?

Sports injuries can be caused by trauma but are often the result of not warming up properly before exercising, overtraining, using inappropriate equipment, incorrect footwear, or poor technique.

Sports injuries can affect muscles, bones, joints and tendons and ligaments with such conditions as:

  • Sprains and strains e.g. achilles tendinitis, tennis and golfers’ elbow
  • Foot conditions e.g. plantar fasciitis
  • Acute muscular injuries / tears
  • Chronic overuse injuries – biomechanical problems
  • Cartilage / meniscus injuries

How are Sports Injuries Treated?

  • After assessment and diagnosis, Jane will review your posture and biomechanics

and treat sports injuries using leading edge technology such as radio frequency therapy and low level laser therapy to reduce the inflammation and ease the pain without the use of opiate drugs and get you back to your sport in record time. These therapies will be supported by bespoke exercises to address the cause of the condition.

  • You may also have the limb taped using Kinesio Tape, to help support the muscle and tendons and alleviate pressure from the inflamed part to ease pain and enable you to function more easily and help prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. This can help to get you through your next match or event.
  • More chronic conditions like biomechanical problems, plantar fasciitis and shin splints will be treated using a combination of therapies and a programme of exercise.

How are sports injuries prevented?

As an ex-athlete, Jane recognises how you must push yourself to achieve your best performance. Whatever your sporting or exercise level, any soreness, strain, bruising, tightness, pain, or weakness in a muscle is a sign that it is congested and not functioning to its full potential. You cannot prevent accidents, but regular treatments and sports massage help ensure that your muscles are in peak condition to allow you to perform to your best ability, train to the maximum, and recover optimally from injury.

Sports Injury Testimonials

I went to Jane for my son who had a knee injury and pain every time he would undertake any exercise, it would hurt. Being a very sporty child this was a big problem. We went to Jane who was amazing and explained what she was doing and how it would help. She worked on the inflammation using a unique Indiba radio frequency machine which gets right into the route of the muscles to reduce the inflammation and worked on his fascia. She is a specialist in fascia work. She followed up with great physio exercises and lent us equipment as well. She used special tape to hold his knee in place. It turned out it was an old injury that hadn’t healed properly that was causing issues as my son was going through a growth spurt and she diagnosed him with Osgood–Schlatter disease. Over all Jane was very good at explaining everything and took her time diagnosing my son. Highly recommended.

[Jane] is beyond knowledgeable and used different machines to target the issues, as well as giving me take away exercises to do. I went from barely being able to walk, to having just started to run again in just a matter of weeks, all down to Jane’s help. Thanks so much Jane
